What do we do?
WE don't do miracles, but our Power Up More Positively group will give you the opportunity to:

  • Build on your own strengths and to help you develop your sense of self worth ... to feel good about yourself.
  • Talk about complex and contradictory messages we get about anger and agression in our society ... and the damage you do to yourself and to your supportive friendships and relationships, when you express your feelings violently or abusively.
  • Help you understand that your beliefs about situations in life, your 'self-talk', determine how you feel, and how you respond, to those situations.
  • Expand your range of choices when you are angry:
    • Develop your listening and assessment skills.
    • Develop your assertiveness and conflict resolution skills.
    • Raise your awareness of self calming strategies.
    • Make some new friends ...
    • To get a bit more fun out of life.
